General Use Rates:

Boom Spray: 250mL–4L per hectare
Spot Spraying: 12.5mL–100mL per 10L (Higher rates are recommended for more established weed infestations)
Knapsack Spraying: 1.25mL–10mL per 1L (Higher rates are recommended for more established weed infestations)

These rates are provided as a general guide only. Always carefully read the Surefire Cannonade 212 Herbicide label before use, including the Directions for Use, Precautionary and Protection Statements, Storage and Disposal instructions, Safety Directions, and First Aid instructions. This product is intended for the specific purpose outlined on the label. Failure to strictly follow the directions may be illegal, dangerous, and reduce the product’s effectiveness.

Tips for use

Restraints:

Avoid treating weeds that are not actively growing or are under stress, as this may reduce the herbicide’s effectiveness and lead to incomplete weed control.
Do not allow annual grass weeds to reach the late tillering stage before application.
Avoid application during the flowering stage of weeds.

Stress Conditions:

Moisture stress caused by drought, high temperatures, low humidity, or prior use of pre-emergent herbicides can impact weed control.
Ensure irrigation or effective rainfall occurs immediately before or after spraying if stress conditions exist.
Avoid spraying during frost, waterlogging, or extended cold conditions.

Mixing:

Add the required product amount to a spray tank that is 50-75% full with the agitation system running.
If settlement occurs, re-agitate thoroughly. Use adjuvants like Wetter 600 (350 mL/100 L), Wetter 1000 (200 mL/100 L), or Paraffinic Oil (2 L/100 L).

Time of Application:

Spray young, actively growing weeds for the best results.
For annual grass weeds, apply before the late tillering stage.
Follow withholding periods and crop-specific recommendations.

Method of Application:
Ensure good spray coverage by calibrating spray equipment.

Boom Spraying:

Maintain correct boom height for even spray distribution and double overlap.
Use spray volumes of 50-100 L/ha with 110° fan nozzles.

Broadacre Use:
Adjust water volumes based on nozzle selection to ensure thorough coverage.

Band Spraying:
Use two nozzles (one on each side of the plant row) beyond the 2-leaf stage.

Aerial Application:
Apply at a minimum of 30 L/ha. Avoid high winds and temperature inversions to prevent drift.

Spot Spraying:
Use a calibrated knapsack sprayer for smaller areas.

Storage and Disposal:
Store in the original container in a cool, well-ventilated area, away from children, animals, and direct sunlight.

Safety Directions:
May irritate eyes and skin. Avoid contact. Wear PVC gloves and a face shield during use.
Wash skin immediately if exposed. Clean hands, arms, and face thoroughly after use.

First Aid:
For poisoning, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre (Australia: 131 126).
If in eyes, flush with water for 15 minutes and seek medical advice. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting; give a glass of water.

Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for further information.
