STARANE ADVANCED Herbicide 1L

STARANE ADVANCED is a broadleaf herbicide containing 333 g/L fluroxypyr (as the meptyl ester), in 1L, 5L and 20L packs. The label lists broadleaf weeds in winter cereals, maize and sorghum, fallow, pasture and sugar cane, and woody and other weeds in non-crop areas, each with its own rate. Lawns, turf and home gardens are not listed. See the Application Rates tab and read the label before use.

It will damage plants you want to keep. The label says Starane Advanced can damage susceptible crops during both growing and dormant periods, naming clovers, cotton, fruit, hops, lupins, ornamentals, peas, pine trees, potatoes, navy beans, safflower, shade trees, soybeans, sunflower, tobacco, tomatoes, vegetables and vines. Do not allow spray to drift onto susceptible crops, shade trees and Pinus species, and do not use it in weather or with equipment that could cause drift onto nearby susceptible plants.

Restraints. Do not graze failed crops or treated pastures, or cut them for stock food, for 7 days after application. Plant-back periods of 7 to 28 days apply depending on the crop and rate, and susceptible crops such as cotton and pulses must not be planted into irrigated fields with soils under 25 percent clay within 12 months of treatment. Do not contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with the chemical or used containers, and alongside waterways treat only noxious weeds and poisonous plants. Do not let stock back into paddocks with treated poisonous plants until the plants have died down.

Before you buy. When opening the container and preparing and using the spray, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist, a washable hat, elbow-length PVC gloves and a face shield or goggles.
