Application Rates

Treated Soil Barrier Installation:

Around Buildings:

Horizontal: 100 mL/m²
Vertical: 2 L/m³
High-risk areas (north of the Tropic of Capricorn or where Mastotermes darwiniensis is a concern):
Horizontal: 200 mL/m²
Vertical: 4 L/m³

Termite Nest/Colony Treatment:

Mix 100 mL in 10 L of water.

Poles and Posts (e.g., fences, transmission poles):

Mix 200 mL in 10 L of water or use creosote.

Application Instructions

Equipment:

Hand Spraying: Use a rose head nozzle with a pressure of 170 kPa. Ensure even flow with a pressure regulator.
Under Concrete or Sealed Areas: Use a sub-slab injector (e.g., B&G system) with a multi-directional tip for even distribution. Keep the injector sealed to prevent leaks and rotate it during application.
Soil Injection: Use a soil rod with a 3- or 4-way tip at 170 kPa. Rotate the tip (90° for 4-way, 120° for 3-way) for complete coverage.

Application Volume:

For impervious soils (e.g., heavy clay), reduce water volume below 5 L/m² to prevent runoff, but increase concentration to maintain effectiveness.
Do not use less than 2 L/m².
Use 5 L/m² for exposed soil barriers and only reduce volume in these areas. Do not reduce volumes for sealed or slab areas.

For Commercial and Industrial Areas:

Cockroaches (Heavy infestations) & Spiders: Mix 95 mL with 10 L of water.
Silverfish & Cockroaches (Light infestations): Mix 50 mL with 10 L of water.
Ants (including Argentine Ants): Mix 95 mL with 10 L of water and spray 1 L per 10 m² of infested area.
Fleas (Outdoor Use Only): Mix 90 mL with 10 L of water.
Hide Beetles: Mix 200 mL with 100 L of water and use 30 mL of spray per skin.

For Mosquito Control:

Mosquito Larvae:
Light vegetation: Use 30 mL per hectare.
Medium vegetation: Use 60 mL per hectare.
Heavy vegetation: Use 105 mL per hectare.

Mosquito Adults:
Light to medium vegetation: Use 60 mL per hectare.
Medium to heavy vegetation: Use 105 mL per hectare.

For Polluted Water Impoundments:

Mosquitoes (Larvae and Adults):
Use 2 mL per 10,000 L of water.
Alternatively, use 20 mL per 100 m³ of water.

Tips for Use

Important Notes:

Do not apply if the soil is very wet, right after heavy rain, or if heavy rain is expected within 24 hours to prevent chemical runoff.
Always use the recommended application rates on the label.
Do not use inside cavity walls, except for directly treating a nest.
Ensure the sub-slab bedding material (like dolomite) allows the termiticide to penetrate effectively.

Mixing Instructions

Fill the spray tank halfway with water (or creosote if needed).
Add the required amount of Surefire Fortune 500.
Top up the tank with the remaining water (or creosote) while stirring continuously.
For knapsack sprayers, shake gently before use.
Only mix the amount you need for the specific application.

Storage and Disposal

Storage: Keep the product in its original, sealed container in a cool, ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight.

Disposal:

Rinse containers three times and pour the rinse water into the spray tank.
Don’t dispose of leftover chemicals on-site.
If recycling, ensure the container is clean, cap it, and return to a recycler.
If not recycling, crush or puncture the container and take it to an approved waste facility. If unavailable, bury it at least 50 cm deep in a designated pit away from water sources and plants.
Never burn empty containers or leftover product.
Dispose of rinse water according to state rules, preferably spraying it on application sites or mixing it with your next use (up to 10% of the total liquid). Avoid pouring it into sewers or drains.

First Aid

If swallowed, splashed on skin, in eyes, or inhaled:
Call a Poisons Information Centre (Australia: 131126, New Zealand: 0800 764 766) or a doctor immediately.
Remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly.
If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. Drink a glass of water.
For eyes, rinse with water for 15 minutes while holding them open. See a doctor.
Activated charcoal or atropine may be advised by medical professionals.
