Barricade Pre Emergent Herbicide 250 mL is a selective pre emergent herbicide designed for residual control of weeds in established turf, garden beds and nursery pots. It works by interfering with cell division in the root tips of newly germinated weeds, stopping them before they become a visible problem. Barricade is effective on a wide range of grassy and broadleaf weeds, including African Lovegrass, Crab Grass, Crowsfoot Grass, Creeping Oxalis, Summer Grass and Winter Grass.
This formulation provides long lasting preventative weed control for up to 6 months, giving homeowners and professionals a more flexible application window. Barricade binds high in the soil profile, ensuring that turf roots below the treated zone are not affected, so your lawn stays in healthy condition.
Use Barricade as a preventative treatment before weed germination. Apply in early spring for summer type weeds or late summer to early autumn for Winter Grass. Because it targets weed seedlings, Barricade will not control weeds that have already germinated, so a post emergent herbicide may be needed first if weeds are already present.
Barricade can be applied using a garden sprayer, watering can or similar equipment. The product should be shaken well before mixing, diluted as instructed and agitated before use.
