Description
Keep your lawn green and resilient through the cold months with YaraMila Complex (12‑5‑15) — a premium, prilled NPK fertiliser that’s an outstanding winter feed for warm‑season Australian lawns (couch, buffalo, kikuyu and zoysia), while remaining a reliable all‑round fertiliser for vegetables, fruit trees and crops.
Why it works as a winter lawn feed
Winter is when warm‑season grasses slow down, so the goal isn’t to force growth — it’s to harden the lawn and hold its colour. YaraMila’s 15% potassium does exactly that: potassium strengthens the plant, improves frost, cold and drought tolerance, and boosts resistance to disease and pests. The moderate 12% nitrogen — a balance of fast‑acting nitrate‑N and sustained ammonium‑N — keeps a healthy green without pushing the soft, sappy growth that frost burns.
Gentler on turf
YaraMila is Sulfate of Potash (SOP) based and chloride‑free, making it kinder to lawns than cheaper muriate‑of‑potash blends. Every prill carries the same balanced nutrient mix, so it spreads evenly by hand or spreader with no risk of segregation or streaky results.
Complete nutrition
Beyond N‑P‑K, YaraMila includes sulphur and magnesium — key for chlorophyll production and deep, lasting green — plus fully plant‑available phosphorus to support strong root development.
Not just for lawns
The same balanced 12‑5‑15 formula is ideal for vegetables, fruit trees and broadacre crops, delivering stronger roots, better resilience and higher‑quality yields. One bag, year‑round versatility.
Note: Not recommended for Australian native plants (sensitive to phosphorus).
Application Rates
Lawns & Turf
- Established lawns: Apply approximately 25 g per square metre (about 2.5 kg per 100 m²).
- Coverage: One 25kg bag treats roughly 1,000 m² at this rate.
- Winter feed: A single application through the cooler months supports frost hardiness and colour. During the active growing season (spring–summer), reapply every ~2 months as needed.
- Always water in thoroughly after spreading, and keep granules off plant stems and wet foliage to avoid scorch.
Turf rate is a general guide — adjust to your grass type and soil test, and confirm against the Yara technical data sheet.
