Matabi Super Green 12 L Backpack Sprayer is a manual garden sprayer designed for medium use in large garden areas. It features a 92 cm fibreglass lance, an adjustable conical nozzle, a three position pressure regulator and adjustable padded straps for comfortable spraying. The sprayer also includes a wide filler opening, 1.3 metre PVC hose, an internal mixer for solution blending and a complete nozzle and seal kit for herbicide and insecticide applications.

The Matabi Super Green 12 is designed for easy and comfortable use during garden spraying. Follow these steps for best performance.
Filling the tank:
Open the wide filler opening and add clean water first, then add the treatment product. The translucent level indicator helps track filling accurately.
Using the mixer:
The internal mixer helps keep solutions uniform. Light agitation during use maintains an even mixture inside the tank.
Pumping instructions:
Use the lever to build pressure steadily. Pump regularly throughout spraying to maintain consistent pressure for uniform coverage.
Adjusting the nozzle:
Use the 92 cm fibreglass lance and adjustable conical nozzle to select the spray pattern needed. Choose from the included nozzle set depending on the job.
Regulating pressure:
Use the pressure regulator to maintain stable pressure. This helps achieve an even spray pattern and reduce product waste.
Cleaning after use:
Empty the tank completely and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Spray clean water through the hose and lance to flush internal parts. Allow the sprayer to dry before storing.
Best practice for spraying:
Apply treatments in calm weather. Avoid windy conditions that cause spray drift. Move at a steady pace to achieve even coverage. Follow product labels for any chemical being applied.
Storage instructions:
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep straps, seals and nozzles dry. Do not leave liquid inside the tank between uses.
Both share the same core design and accessory kit — the 12L uses a lighter fibreglass lance and smaller tank (12L vs 16L useful capacity), making it easier to carry for longer periods. The 16L uses a brass lance and holds more solution, better suited to larger jobs where you don’t want to refill often.
Fibreglass lances are designed to be lighter than brass while still handling regular garden and small-acreage spraying work. It’s the lighter-weight option in the Matabi range rather than a heavy-duty commercial lance.
It suits herbicides, fertilisers and pest control products applied as a liquid spray across lawns and garden beds. Always follow the label directions of whatever product you’re applying.
Empty the tank fully, rinse with clean water, then pump and spray clean water through the lance and hose to flush the internal parts. Let it dry fully before storing.
It’s a translucent section on the tank that lets you check how much solution is left without opening the lid — useful for keeping track of dilution and remaining capacity mid-job.

Application and lawn-care equipment - knapsack and backpack sprayers, and levelling and top-dressing rakes. Chemicals only work as well as the gear that applies them evenly.
For a home lawn and garden a 12 L knapsack is enough; for acreage or all-day commercial use step up to 16 L or a wheeled unit. A comfortable harness matters more than a couple of extra litres.
Rinse the tank, hose and nozzle with clean water after every use and never leave chemical in it overnight. Store it empty with the lid off so the seals do not perish, and keep spare nozzles and O-rings.
