Product Description

TREPIDEX 500 (SureFire Trepidex 500) is an insecticide containing 500 g/L trichlorfon, an anticholinesterase compound. The label lists broadacre crops, fruit and vegetable crops, pastures and turf (lawn grub and lawn armyworm). Vegetables on the label include crucifers, cucurbits, lettuce, beans, peas, potatoes, tomatoes, capsicum and chillies, each for named pests such as cutworm, fruit fly, cabbage moth and cabbage white butterfly. It does not list home gardens or ornamental plants.

Withholding periods. For edible crops the label says do not harvest for 2 days after application, and do not graze or cut pastures and forage crops for stock food for 2 days. Always check the label for your crop.

General Application Rates:

  • Field Crops & Pastures: 600mL–1.7L per hectare (Ha)
  • Fruit Crops (Trees & Vines): 100mL–500mL per 100L of water
  • Fruit Crops (Berries): 95mL–250mL per 100L of water
  • Dried Fruit: 200mL per 100L of water
  • Vegetables: 95mL–250mL per 100L of water (or up to 1.75L per hectare)
  • Animal Housing (Flies): 25mL–180mL per 100L of water (for dairies, fowl houses, piggeries, and stables)
  • Lawn & Turf: 12mL per 10L of water (covers 100m²). Apply with a sprayer or watering can as soon as pests appear. Repeat as needed for new hatchings.
