Application Rates

Directions for Use: Post-Emergent Weed Management

For Established Turf Types:
Common Couch, Hybrid Couch, QLD Blue Couch, and Zoysia.

Weeds Controlled and Application Rates

Burr Medic: 115mL per hectare (Ha)
Mullumbimby Couch: 150mL per Ha
Bindi, Ryegrass, Winter Grass: 225mL per Ha each
Clover, Catsear, Cotula, Creeping Oxalis, Curled Dock, Chickweed, Milk
Thistle: 300mL per Ha each
Kikuyu (Suppression Only): 300mL per Ha

Application Guidelines

Uniform Coverage: Apply evenly to leaves and crowns for best results.
Water Volume: Use 400-800L of water per hectare.
Higher volumes are recommended for turf taller than 15mm (e.g., semi-roughs, parks).
Surfactant: Add a non-ionic surfactant at 0.25–0.5% v/v to enhance effectiveness.
Repeat Treatment: A second application may be needed in 4-6 weeks.
Overseeding: Wait at least 6 weeks after application before overseeding cool-season grasses.

Caution: Temporary discoloration may occur on QLD Blue Couch and Zoysia.

For Kikuyu Suppression:
Method: Apply twice, 21–28 days apart, for best results (preferably in autumn).

Bahia Grass (Paspalum Notatum) Suppression and Seedhead Control

For Turf Types:
Common Couch, Durban Grass, Hybrid Couch, QLD Blue Couch, and Zoysia in areas like golf courses, parks, ovals, and roadsides.

Application Rate
Monument Liquid: 75mL per Ha
Primo Maxx: 2–4L per Ha (or Primo 250EC: 1–2L per Ha)
Surfactant: Add 0.25–0.42% v/v non-ionic surfactant.

Application Guidelines
Timing: Apply during summer when Bahia Grass produces seedheads.
Limitations: Do not exceed 2 consecutive applications of Monument Liquid in a season.

Effective Application Timing and Methods:

Long-Lasting Results: Monument Liquid provides extended weed control, minimizing the need for repeated applications (except for kikuyu control).

Best Timing:

Kikuyu Suppression: Apply in late March and repeat in late April.
Poa Annua & Ryegrass Control: Apply when weeds are actively growing, not at the end of their growth cycle. Active growth ensures the herbicide moves effectively through the plant.
Systemic Action: The herbicide is absorbed through leaves, shoots, and roots for complete control. Ensure thorough coverage of leaves and shoots during application.
Root Uptake: If the product washes into the soil, it enhances root absorption for systemic action.

Key Ingredients:
Monument Liquid contains 100 g/L trifloxysulfuron-sodium, a Group B sulfonylurea herbicide.

Application Restrictions:

Equipment and Conditions:
Avoid aerial or irrigation equipment application.
