Application Rates

Soil Applications

For Large Trees (5m+): Use stem injection, which requires less product.
For Sucker Re-growth: Use the recommended rate for the tallest plants listed in the directions, as suckers grow from roots with stored nutrients.
Sloping Ground: Use the spear attachment and apply on the uphill side at a depth of 2-3 cm.
Avoid Ash Areas: Do not apply on recently burnt areas, as ash may reduce effectiveness.
Optimal Conditions: Apply to moist soil or ensure sufficient rainfall after application for root absorption. Active plant growth ensures better results.

Application Tips:

Use the spear attachment for sloping areas or where soil is covered with pasture or leaf litter.
For bare soil, use the on-surface nozzle.
Pastures affected by application will regrow within 12-24 months.

Treatment Techniques:

Individual Trees/Brush: Place spots evenly around the base and dripline. For two spots, place them on opposite sides of the plant.
Grid Pattern Application:
Plants up to 1m tall:
Less than 10,000 plants/ha: Treat individually.
10,000+ plants/ha: Use a 1x1m grid.
Plants 1-7m tall or suckers:
Less than 2,500 plants/ha: Treat individually.
2,500+ plants/ha: Use a 2x2m grid.

Stem Injection Applications

For Multi-Stemmed Trees: Treat each stem as an individual tree.
Tree Height Guidelines:
Trees up to 5m: Make one cut at waist height per tree.
Trees 5-18m: Space cuts 30 cm apart around the trunk at waist height.

Best Practices:

Perform injections during good sap flow for better absorption.
Use a narrow axe to cut deep enough to reach the sap stream.
Inject product within 5 seconds of making the cut for effective absorption.

Foliar Spray Applications

Coverage: Use enough water to ensure thorough and even coverage of foliage.
Best Timing: Spray during active plant growth and temperatures of 25°C+ for optimal results.
Avoid Dormancy: Avoid application during dormancy, moisture stress, or winter, as it may reduce effectiveness.
Rainfall: Ensure rainfall after treatment to promote root absorption.
Application Rates: Adjust the product quantity based on the area treated. For band spraying, use one-third the overall rate.

Equipment & Application

SPOTGUN Applications: Use the SPOTGUN for soil applications.
Stem Injection: Use a suitable tree injector.

Foliar Spray Applications:

-Mix the product with water and agitate during spraying.
-Prevent nozzle blockages by using screens with a 50-mesh size or coarser.

Surfactants (For Foliar Spray Only)
-Add a non-ionic surfactant (250-500 mL/100 L) to improve wetting and coverage.

Tips for use

This product can be absorbed through both leaves and roots, providing lasting soil activity.

For best results:

Apply when plants are actively growing.
Avoid application during dormancy, dry conditions, or winter months, as it may be less effective.
In areas with cooler winter rainfall (temperatures below 25°C), results may take longer to appear.
For perennial weeds, spring is the best time to apply.
In WA and SA, apply between April and August when there’s enough rainfall for the product to be absorbed by the weeds.
Do not apply during heavy rain or in windy conditions (over 30 kph for ground applications or 20 kph for aerial applications) to avoid drifting.

On slopes:

For slopes of 20%-30%, use strip, spot, or stem injection methods.
For slopes over 30%, use spot or stem injection only.

Note: Effectiveness may vary depending on temperature, soil type, rainfall, moisture levels, and plant health. Follow application rates based on the area sprayed.

Protecting Crops, Plants, and the Environment:

Caution with Application: This product can harm trees and plants if not applied correctly. Avoid applying near desirable plants or trees, especially where their roots may grow (typically two times the tree’s height or more).
Avoid Water Contamination: Do not apply where water runoff can carry the product to tree roots or other plants. Never clean equipment near desirable vegetation or water sources.
Foliar Sprays: Prevent spray drift onto nearby plants, crops, or pastures. Avoid use on lawns, walkways, driveways, or tennis courts.

Livestock Safety:

Spotgun & Stem Injection: No need to move livestock from treated areas.
Foliar Sprays: Keep livestock away from sprayed areas until safe.

Wildlife and Waterways:

Do not contaminate streams, rivers, or waterways with the product or containers.

Storage and Disposal:
Storage: Keep in the original, sealed container in a cool, ventilated area. Avoid sunlight, freezing temperatures, or heat sources. Flammable—keep away from flames and sparks.
Disposal: Triple-rinse empty containers and add rinsing to the spray tank. Dispose of containers at approved waste facilities or bury them in compliance with local regulations. Do not burn containers or unused product.

Safety Directions:

Avoid skin and eye contact. Do not inhale spray mist.
Wear protective gear: gloves, goggles/face shield when handling or using the product.
Wash hands, face, and clothing after use.

First Aid:

In Case of Poisoning: Call a doctor or Poisons Information Centre at 13 11 26 (Australia).
