Description
What is DEVOUR PENETRANT?
DEVOUR PENETRANT is a non-ionic organosilicone surfactant containing 1021 g/L polyether modified polysiloxane. It is an adjuvant — a product you add to a spray mix to make the spray itself work better. It is not a herbicide, fungicide or insecticide, and it has no pesticidal action of its own.
What it does
Organosilicone surfactants sharply reduce the surface tension of water. Instead of beading up and rolling off, spray droplets flatten and spread across the leaf, covering far more surface from the same volume of water. That same property helps the mix move into the leaf rather than sitting on top of it — which matters most on waxy, hairy or hard-to-wet foliage where ordinary sprays struggle to make proper contact.
Who it’s for
- Anyone spraying woody weeds, or plants with waxy or hairy leaves
- Turf managers and contractors wanting even coverage from every tank
- Growers and graziers spraying at lower water volumes
- Home users who have found sprays beading off the target
Important — this is not a pesticide
DEVOUR PENETRANT is added to a registered pesticide; it does not replace one. Always follow the directions on the label of the product you are mixing it with, including whether an organosilicone adjuvant is permitted and at what rate. Adding a penetrant changes how a chemical behaves on the plant, so check the label before you mix.
