$22.00 Inc GST

WETTER 600 is a non-ionic wetting agent containing 600 g/L nonyl phenol ethylene oxide condensate. Added to a spray mix it lowers surface tension so droplets spread across the leaf instead of beading off. It is an adjuvant, not a pesticide.

Description

What is WETTER 600?

WETTER 600 is a non-ionic wetting agent containing 600 g/L nonyl phenol ethylene oxide condensate. It is an adjuvant — a product you add to a spray mix to make the spray itself work better. It is not a herbicide, fungicide or insecticide, and it has no pesticidal action of its own.

What it does

Water tends to bead and roll off leaf surfaces, especially on waxy or hairy foliage. WETTER 600 lowers the surface tension of the spray so droplets spread out and stay in contact with the leaf, improving the coverage of whatever you have mixed in the tank.

Where it is used

Commercial, agricultural and turf spraying, and larger landscape jobs where even coverage matters. Always follow the label of the product you are mixing it with for compatibility and application rates.

Supplied in 1L. Also available in 1L, 5L and 20L.

Application Rates

General Use:

Spray Tank Mix: 10mL per 100L of water (0.01%)
Knapsack Sprayer: 2mL per 15L of water

For Weed Sprays:

High Volume Power Spray: 12mL per 100L of water
Low Volume Boom Spray: 60mL per 100L of water
Misting Machines: 5mL per 5L of water
Knapsack Sprayer: 2mL per 15L of water

For Paraquat & Diquat:

High Volume Power Spray: 200mL per 100L of water
Boom Spray: 200mL per 100L of water
Knapsack Sprayer: 30mL per 15L of water

For Soil Residual Herbicides:

Use between 125mL and 500mL per 100L of water, depending on the product.

For Fire Fighting:

Water Tanker: 10mL per 100L of water
Knapsack Sprayer: 2mL per 15L of water

Mixing & Spraying:

Add Reactor Wetter 600 directly to water in the spray tank—it mixes quickly and easily.
Do not add to undiluted sprays containing wetting agents.
Spray leaves until they are just wet; avoid over-spraying, as this can cause runoff and reduce effectiveness.

Important Notes:

These rates are a general guide.
Always read the product label, including safety and first aid instructions, before use.
Use only as directed to ensure effectiveness and safety. Misuse may be illegal and dangerous.

Tips for use

Horticultural Sprays:

Add 10mL per 100L (or 2mL per 15L knapsack) of Reactor Wetter 600 to horticultural sprays unless they already contain a wetting agent.
For waxy-leaf plants, increase the rate to improve wetting.
Spray only until leaves are just wet—avoid over-spraying to prevent run-off and loss of effectiveness.

Weed Sprays:

Add Reactor Wetter 600 to post-emergence herbicides unless the product label says it already includes a wetting agent.
Use as directed on individual herbicide labels to avoid crop damage.
Spray leaves and stems until just wet. Over-spraying causes chemical run-off.
For hard-to-wet plants (e.g., waxy or hairy leaves), increase the rate for better results:
High Volume Spray: 12mL/100L
Low Volume Boom Spray: 60mL/100L
Misting Machines: 5mL/5L
Knapsack: 2mL/15L

Paraquat/Diquat Herbicides (e.g., Reglone, Gramoxone):
For maximum efficiency with these herbicides, use higher rates to ensure even coverage:
High Volume Spray: 200mL/100L
Boom Spray: 200mL/100L
Knapsack: 30mL/15L
Soil Residual Herbicides:
Add Reactor Wetter 600 to thoroughly wet foliage when applying soil-active herbicides (e.g., Diuron, Atrazine):
Rates vary between 125–500mL/100L, depending on the herbicide. Check product labels.

Fire Fighting:

Reactor Wetter 600 improves the wetting power of water for fire control and clean-up:
Water Tanker: 10mL/100L
Knapsack: 2mL/15L

General Usage Instructions:

Reactor Wetter 600 is a spray additive for fungicides, insecticides, and herbicides. It enhances efficiency by improving wetting and spray coverage.
Mixes easily with all water types and is safe for tender foliage if used correctly.
Spray only until leaves are just wet to avoid waste through run-off.

Mixing:

Add Reactor Wetter 600 directly to the spray tank with water. Do not mix with undiluted sprays containing other wetting agents.

Storage:

Keep out of reach of children.
Store in a cool, ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.

Safety Directions:

May irritate eyes and skin. Avoid contact.
Wear protective clothing (long sleeves, gloves, goggles) when handling.
Wash skin immediately with soap and water if contact occurs.
Wash hands and face thoroughly after use.

First Aid:

For poisoning, call a doctor or the Poisons Information Centre (Australia: 13 11 26).
If skin contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and wash thoroughly.
Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for more details.

Note: Always follow product labels and seek expert advice for specific applications.
