Product Description

ZEUS Insecticide is a bifenthrin insecticide and termiticide (CroPro Zeus Termiticide and Insecticide: 100 g/L bifenthrin, 562 g/L liquid hydrocarbon, emulsifiable concentrate), available in 1L, 5L and 20L packs. It is used as set out in its label directions for use.

What the label lists. External areas and surrounds of domestic, commercial, public and industrial buildings (spiders, papernest wasps, ants, cockroaches, mosquitoes, fleas, flies and ticks, excluding the paralysis tick); subterranean termite control, including poles, posts and building barrier treatments; turf (lawn armyworm, sod webworm, Argentine stem weevil, billbug and African black beetle); and a range of crops, including tomatoes, stone fruit, bananas, citrus, grapes, pears, navy beans, canola, lucerne and cereals, each with its own pests and rates. We recommend a licensed pest control technician for termite work on buildings.

Before you buy. ZEUS is dangerous to bees: do not spray plants in flower when bees are foraging, and spray in the early morning. It is dangerous to fish and aquatic organisms: do not contaminate dams, rivers, streams, waterways or drains with the product or the used container. Before spraying, remove animals and pets from the areas to be treated, cover or remove open food and water containers, fish ponds and aquariums, and do not allow people and pets to contact treated areas until the spray has dried. Do not spray into the air or directly on people, pets or animals. Do not use at less than the label rates, and do not apply to soil that is excessively wet or immediately after heavy rain. When opening the container and preparing a pest control spray, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist, a washable hat, elbow-length PVC, neoprene or nitrile gloves, a face shield or goggles and chemical resistant footwear.

Application Rates

Application Rate:

General Pest Sprays: Spiders: use 25-50mL of Zeus per 10L of water. Papernest wasps: use 50mL per 10L of water. Ants, cockroaches, mosquitoes, fleas, flies and ticks (excluding the paralysis tick): use 50-100mL per 10L of water.
Turf Treatments: Apply 1.2-4.4L per hectare (12-44mL per 100m²).
Lawn Army Worm: Use 1.2L per hectare (12mL per 100m²). Mix 12mL with at least 2L of water and spray evenly over 100m² of turf.

Instructions:

Use spray equipment to apply Zeus evenly over the treatment area.
Ensure a minimum spray volume of 200L per hectare (2L per 100m²).
After application, irrigate with up to 4mm of water to improve effectiveness.
Check treated areas for pests and reapply if necessary.
Apply after mowing to avoid loss of product in clippings.
Avoid using on overly wet soil or immediately after heavy rain.

General Use

Always follow label rates; do not use less.
Avoid application on wet soils or after heavy rain to prevent run-off.
Do not apply on mud, sand, mangroves, or aquatic habitats.
Avoid ultra-low volume (ULV) or thermal fogging.
Do not use where predatory mites are actively controlling pests.
Do not apply if rain is expected before the spray dries.
Avoid cavity wall use unless certified systems are used.

Timber & Wood

Only use on timber classified as Hazard Class 1 or 2.

Orchards & Ornamentals

Avoid where predatory mites are established.
Do not spray by aircraft.
Ensure sprays dry before rainfall.

General Instructions

Urban Pest Control: Kills and prevents pests like ants, cockroaches, spiders, fleas, and mosquitoes by direct contact and residual action on treated surfaces.
Termite Control: Creates a barrier in soil to prevent termite entry into buildings. Apply as per Australian standards (AS 3660).
Turf Applications: Use to prevent or control pests in turf. Best results occur before pest levels become damaging.

Mixing & Application

Mixing: Dilute the product in water and stir well. Maintain agitation during mixing and spraying.

Application:

General Pest Control: Use a fine spray for thorough coverage; avoid fogging.
Termites: Add marker dye for even application; use surfactants if soil is hard to wet.
Turf: Use fine spray equipment for thorough coverage; avoid fogging.
Timber Treatment: Mix with diluent and apply with continuous agitation.
Vector Control: Apply with handheld or power sprayers for large droplets to minimize drift; do not use fogging equipment.

Safety Directions

Poisonous if swallowed. May irritate skin and eyes. Avoid prolonged contact.
Wear protective gear, including overalls, gloves, and waterproof clothing, when handling or applying the product.
Wash contaminated clothing and hands after use.

Do not use where mite predators or other beneficial insects are established and providing effective control.
