Woody Weed Control

High-Volume Spraying:
Mix 150mL to 670mL of Woody Extra per 100L of water

Aerial Spraying (Flood Plains, General Non-Crop Areas):
Use 1.5L to 10L per hectare

Controlled Droplet Application (C.D.A.):
Apply undiluted

Low-Volume, High-Concentration Techniques (e.g., Gas-Powered Gun, Sprinkler Sprayer):
Mix 335mL to 500mL per 10L of water

Boom Spraying (General Use):
Apply 2L to 4L per hectare

Boom Spraying (Fallow Land):
Use 200mL to 500mL per hectare

Blanket Wiper Application:
Mix 1 part Woody Extra with 4 parts water (1:4 ratio)

Important:

Tips for use

Application Restrictions:

Do not apply to stressed weeds (e.g., from drought, flooding, extreme cold, or poor nutrition) as it may reduce effectiveness.
Avoid spraying if rain is expected within 1 hour or if leaves are wet from rain or dew.
Do not cut or clear blackberry or woody weeds for at least 6 months after spraying.
For flood-prone areas, treat after flooding. Weeds sprayed within 9 months of flooding may not respond well.

Spray Drift Precautions:

Avoid spraying near people, crops, gardens, or water to prevent harm from spray drift.
Only spray when wind is between 3–20 km/h (15 km/h max for aerial spraying) and avoid spraying during temperature inversions (usually evenings and early mornings).

Special Conditions:

In Tasmania, do not treat blackberry bushes with mature or ripening fruit.
Always follow state or local rules for spraying on native vegetation.

Protection Guidelines

Livestock Safety:

Sprayed poisonous plants may be more appealing to livestock. Keep animals away until plants are completely dead.
Dead plants can remain toxic—dispose of them by burning if possible.

Wildlife and Environment:

Do not contaminate streams, rivers, or water sources with the product or used containers.

Crops and Plants:

This herbicide can harm certain crops (e.g., legumes, tomatoes, fruit, and ornamentals). Avoid areas with desirable plants or waterways.
Do not use treated soil or manure for growing susceptible plants.
Residue Management

Pasture Use:

Avoid cutting pasture for hay or silage for 6 months if it’s to be used off-farm.
Do not use treated plants or manure for compost, mulch, or mushroom production.

Animal Waste:

Do not use manure or effluent from animals grazing treated pastures on susceptible plants or fields for at least 6 months.
If unsure about residue levels, test soil before planting sensitive crops.

Storage Instructions
Store in a cool, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight, food, and animal feed.
