What is Warhead Trio?
Warhead Trio is a ProForce-brand herbicide manufactured by Indigo Specialty Products, containing 300 g/L MCPA and 20 g/L clopyralid (both present as the potassium salt) plus 15 g/L diflufenican. It’s a Group 1, 2, 4 herbicide for the control of certain broadleaf weeds in turf.
Who it’s for
Trade users and larger properties managing broadleaf weeds across established turf — the 10 Litre size suits commercial lawn care, turf management or larger residential properties rather than a single home lawn.
Why it works
MCPA and clopyralid are selective herbicides that disrupt broadleaf weed growth hormones without harming turf grasses when used as directed, while diflufenican adds residual activity. Apply as specified in the product’s Directions for Use for control of certain broadleaf weeds in turf.

Application Rates
Effectively controls broadleaf weeds in turf, including:
- White Clover
- Plantain
- Capeweed
- Cat’s Ear
- Bindii (Jo-Jo, Onehunga)
- Cudweed
- Creeping Oxalis
Application Instructions:
- Mix 5L with 200-500L of water per hectare.
- Apply to actively growing weeds for best results.
- Some turf types, such as kikuyu, carpet grass, and Queensland blue couch, may show slight temporary discoloration.
- Buffalo grasses (e.g., ST85) may be more sensitive—test a small area before large-scale use.
- Avoid overlapping spray areas to prevent over-application.
- Use a surfactant for weeds that are hard to wet.
Tips for use
Storage and Disposal
- Store in the original, sealed container in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.
- Before disposing, triple rinse the container and add the rinse water to the spray tank. Do not dump undiluted chemicals on-site.
- Recycling: Replace the cap and return the clean container to a recycling facility or collection point.
- Non-recycling: If recycling is not an option, break, crush, or puncture the empty container and take it to an approved waste facility. If no facility is available, bury the container at least 500 mm deep in a marked disposal pit, away from water sources, vegetation, and tree roots, following local regulations.
- Do not burn empty containers or leftover product.
Safety Directions
- Harmful if swallowed.
- Causes eye damage and skin irritation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
- If it gets in your eyes, rinse immediately with water.
- Wear protective clothing: cotton overalls (buttoned to the neck and wrist), a washable hat, elbow-length PVC gloves, and goggles when handling the product.
- Wash hands after use. Wash gloves, goggles, and clothing after each day’s use.
