Tips for use
Tussock Herbicide works slowly, taking 3-12 months to control plant growth based on weather and plant conditions. Effectiveness depends on soil type, rainfall, and whether grass seeds or roots survive.
- Heavy rain or irrigation can reduce its effectiveness by washing it through the soil, while dry conditions help it stay active longer.
- Avoid using in areas like channels or drains where roots of nearby plants may grow or near desirable plants.
- It may be less effective in shaded areas.
- Some plants, like clovers and legumes, may be damaged if exposed to the spray or if they sprout before the herbicide breaks down in the soil.
- Only use this product on pasture land once per year.
Restrictions
Do not use on steep slopes with high application rates.
Prevent spray drift onto sensitive crops, ornamentals, or nearby trees.
Mixing Instructions
- This product dissolves easily in water. Add it directly to a spray tank with water while stirring.
- If mixing with powders, make a slurry of the powder in a small amount of water, add to the half-filled tank, and then add the herbicide. Continue mixing while filling the tank.
- Keep the mixture agitated during spraying.
Wetting Agents
Add 100mL of non-ionic surfactant per 100L of spray for better performance.
Compatibility
Can be mixed with Glyphosate to improve control of existing vegetation.
Application
Use boom sprayers calibrated for even application and correct volume.
Paddock Preparation
Graze the area to reduce plant cover before spraying.
Re-seeding
Pasture species like ryegrass and clover can be sown after 100mm of leaching rain. In drought conditions, wait until the next season.
Environmental Protection
Do not spray in windy conditions or where spray could drift onto nearby plants or crops. Avoid contaminating waterways.
Storage
Keep in the original container in a cool, ventilated place, away from direct sunlight.
