Product Description

FUSILADE FORTE 128 EC is a selective grass herbicide (Group 1) containing 128 g/L fluazifop-P (as the butyl ester), in 1L and 5L packs. The label lists control of annual and perennial grass weeds (such as annual ryegrass, barley grass, wild oats, barnyard grass, summer grass, couch, kikuyu, paspalum and carpet grass) in a long list of crops: pulses, canola, lucerne and pastures, many vegetables, fruit and berry crops, and potted and open-grown ornamental shrubs and trees in nurseries, parks and gardens. Lawns and turf are not listed. Rates range from 410 mL to 6.6 L per hectare, or 20 to 160 mL per 10 L for spot spraying, depending on the crop and weed. It kills grasses. The label lists grass weeds including couch, kikuyu and carpet grass, and says special care must be taken to avoid drift onto adjacent crops such as cereals, maize or sorghum. Do not apply it in weather or with equipment that may cause drift onto nearby susceptible plants, crops, cropping lands or pastures, and do not plant cereal crops for 12 weeks after application.

Restraints. Do not treat weeds that are not actively growing or are under stress, or weeds at the flowering stage. Do not apply in conditions of high temperature and low humidity or where weeds are drought stressed, and do not let annual grasses reach the late tillering stage before treating. The label says an adjuvant is not necessary. Withholding periods vary by crop from 14 days to 17 weeks (not required for stone fruit, pome fruit and citrus when used as directed), so check the label for your crop.

Before you buy. Moderately hazardous to fish: do not contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with the chemical or used containers. When preparing the spray and using the product, wear elbow-length PVC gloves and a face shield.

Add the required product amount to a half-full spray tank (50–75% full).

Use higher rates if weeds are already tillering.
Ensure enough time for the prescribed withholding period before harvesting.
